・The Special Cash Payments
As an economic measure of the national government on the spread of the Novel Corona Virus infection, the amount of ¥100,000 is granted to each of resident of Itabashi registered in the City as of the date of April 27, 2020.

○Eligible persons:Those registered Resident Registration in Itabashi City as of April 27, 2020.

Japanese nationals resident in Japan.
Foreigners who are eligible to stay in Japan longer than three months and Resident registered in Itabashi City.

○Eligible recipient of the Payment:Head of Household.
In case of the household of three members, the head is eligible to apply and receive the payment on behalf of the three.

○How to apply
The City of Itabashi sent “Application Form” by post at the end of May, 2020.
Please return the Application Form to the City Office after filling in the bank account number you are receiving the payment, etc. along with two necessary documents mentioned below.

(1)Identity verification documents
Copy of your Residence Card or Health Insurance Card, etc.
(2) Documents to verify the payment transfer account
Copy of a bank book, a cash card or printed screen of an online banking service which shows the name of financial institution, account number and the name of account holder

How to fill in the Form   Be sure to read before filling in.
※Please return by August 31.
※If you have already applied online, etc., no need to return the Form.

○The payment transfer
Itabashi City Office will check the Application and send the “Special Cash Payment Transfer Notice” to you by post.
Please refer to the date of transfer in the Notice. The amount includes for all your household members.

Please send “Sending Request Form” to the City Office in case you would like to receive the Application form for the Special Cash Payment due to particular reasons.

・Extension of the period for acceptance of applications in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) 【Immigration Services Agency】
In light of the various circumstances associated with the impact of COVID-19 and from the perspective of preventing the spread of COVID-19, as a measure to reduce congestion at the immigration counters for residency applications, the immigration counters will be accepting applications to change the status of residence and applications to extend the period of stay from those foreign nationals (excluding foreign nationals with the status of residence of “Designated Activities (Departure Preparation Period”)) whose expiration date (see note) for their period of stay is due in March, April, May June or July  for an extended period of three months from the expiration date of the period of stay of the relevant foreign national.

・The Housing Security Benefit
As a measure for supporting those who are finding it difficult to pay the rent for their current housing due to income decrease resulting from business shutdown, etc., we pay rent to their landlords, through local municipalities, for three (or up to nine) months.
